  “A Christmas Carol – The Musical” is at the Wagon Wheel Theatre through Dec. 19. Dan Zakarija plays the ghost of Christmas present, Michael Yocum is Jacob Marley and Robert J. Miller portrays Scrooge.
Good’s Candy Shop opens in time for holidays. Shelly Bickel’s family has been in the chocolate business since the 1940s, with her great-aunt and grandparents opening a shop in Anderson. Shelly’s brother took over the Anderson store when she, husband Garry and son, Joel, moved to Syracuse in 1993 and opened a shop at 611 S. Huntington St.
Mike Metzger, president of Metzger & Sons Trucking Co., Silver Lake, was appointed 2005 secretary of the Indiana Motor Truck Association, Indianapolis.

Complaint was made to police Monday by Hazel Thorn Nettleton that boys were shooting blackbirds on Jefferson Street near her home.
Dorothy Dye has accepted a position with the Jean Paige Beauty Shop. She graduated last week from the Laura Lee Beauty School.
Featured at the W.R. Thomas store this week are a score of canary singers, clever, trained songsters and acrobats, that for the past two days have been affording many a laugh to curious and interested shoppers. Irving Malitz, Washington D.C., Hartz Mountain Products representative, told a Times reporter that he has worked with canaries for the past 10 years.
