The Ramada Plaza Hotel Women's Bridge Group met recently with six tables playing. Winners were: Mary Eherenman, Erma Swank, Shirley Bricker, Mary Derry, Wanda McSherry and Mzary McCoy. Hostess was Ruth Castaldi.
Seven new members have been appointed to the board of directors of Kosciusko Community Hospital. The announcement was made by Rev. Wayne Johnson, board president, and brings the total of members to 24.
Pvt. Ronald L. Fruitt, 22, whose wife Phyllis lives in North Manchester, has completed the automotive maintenance helper course at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. A graduate of Sidney High School and Purdue University, he's the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd H. Fruitt, Claypool, and has been in service since July.
The Music Group of the Fine Arts club met recently at the home of Bernice Bibler. There were 10 members present. The program of the evening consisted of the opera "Esther," the story of which was told in an interesting manner by Miss Florence Kagey. Miss Carolyn Kozak played the "Overture to Esther," following which Miss Kagey and Mrs. Mae Horrick sang two duets titled "Loudly Sing" and "Go Thou Unto the King."
