Triton graduate Tim Shively helped the Bethel College Pilots beat Ancilla College 121-99 in a game in the Grand Rapids Thanksgiving Classic. He hit eight of 17 shots from three-point range and added six more points to end the game with 30. He averages 24 per game.

James M. Leffel was honored guest at a dinner given Tuesday night, Nov. 9, at Petro's Restaurant by members of the board of Warsaw Community Public Library. Leffel, a member of the library board since 1917, has been president for more than 20 years. Board members include Joe Lessig, Mrs. Edmund Whitby, Esther Pfleiderer, Estelle Lynch, Robert Rasor, Mrs. Jesse Eschbach. Librarian is James Sloan.

Warsaw's Gamble store, 118 South Buffalo Street, will feature its annual pre-holiday Open House and Toyland celebration Friday night, Nov. 15, beginning at 7:30 o'clock, it was announced by Manager Harold Garwick. Children accompanied by parents or another adult are presented with free gifts in honor of this custom.
First rehearsal of the Kosciusko County Symphony Orchestra was held Wednesday night, Nov. 13, at the Warsaw Senior High School, with Prof. Leo E. Ruckle, of Hoffman Lake, for 20 years a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, in charge. Sixteen persons, from Warsaw, Mentone, Etna Green and North Manchester, reported for practice. Prof. Ruckle was heartened by this turnout and expects to have a 75-piece orchestra in a short time.
