Mary Ruth Lilly, Warsaw, was the winner in Kosciusko County Lakes Realty's Christmas Cash drawing. Realtor Terry Baker presented the check from the newest real estate office in downtown Warsaw. With three children, Lilly has big plans for Christmas, and the money allows her to expand those plans.
Jan Miller joined Kosciusko County Lakes Realty, bringing nine years experience with her after a 25-year career in the agricultural business. She is
currently secretary-treasurer of the Farm Bureau in Kosciusko County.
Beaver Dam United Methodist Church and community have a new cookbook with more than 700 recipes.
25 Years
The Warsaw Rotary Club has helped The Salvation Army for more than 25 years. This year's effort is co-chaired by John Hall and Bruce Howe.
After 27 years as Kosciusko County Nurse, Barb Clouse is transferring from her office in the courthouse to the sheriff's department and the county jail, to a nursing position created for her. "It's been a rewarding 27 years, but I'm anxious to start something new."
Kosciusko County Commissioner Eddie Creighton accepted a portrait of General Thaddeus Koscuizsko from the Historical Society's historian, Ron Sharp, and Jean and Edward Newill. It will hang in the county courthouse.
50 Years
Donald L. Baum, Warsaw, retired Dec. 1 from Northern Indiana Public Service Company after 44 years of service. In 1921, he went to work for the Warsaw Gas and Coke Co. During his NIPSCO career, he held eight different positions. Mr. Baum was also co-owner of Warsaw Sheet Metal and Electric Co. from 1946 to 1952.
Debra, 13, and Tanya, 7, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Billy N. Grimm, Bourbon, won trophies in the 1965 Senior and Junior Baton Twirl-a-thon in La Porte. Debra also won the first-place trophy in the personality contest.

75 Years
State police were following up clues obtained Sunday, Dec. 1, in an investigation of the Tippecanoe, Ind. schoolhouse burglary. The Tippecanoe School, 18 miles due west of Warsaw, was broken into Saturday night and a small amount of money taken from the principal's office.
Darle Riggens, of Warsaw, was the winner of the door prize, a ham, at the Moose indoor fair which opened Wednesday evening, Dec. 4, at the Moose Hall.
Hobart Creighton, of near Warsaw, and Charles Manwaring, of Mentone, will be among the speakers at a tri-state poultry breeders school Dec. 10 and 11 at Fort Wayne under sponsorship of the Purdue poultry department in co-operation with poultry departments in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
