    LOUISVILLE - Ashley Bell, Leesburg, showed the division III reserve champion Chiangus female Nov. 16 at the North American International Livestock Exposition.

Sixty-seven junior exhibitors from nine states competed for top honors in the heifer show, showing more than 90 heifer entries.

December 28 1982

    NORTH MANCHESTER -ÊManchester College quarterback Dave Berg of Warsaw and six teammates have been honored by the Hoosier-Buckeye Collegiate Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics District 21.

Berg rewrote the Spartan passing records in 1982 with a 1,357-yard season in the air. Berg, a HBCC and NAIA 21 honorable mention team member, averaged 150.7 yards a game. He is the son of Franklin and Bernice Berg, Warsaw.

    Carl L. Parker, disbursing clerk third class on the destroyer USS Blue, participated in a striking force training exercise with the First Fleet off the coast of Southern California earlier this month. Carl is the son of Mrs. Erba O. Parker, 623 E. Market St.

    On Christmas eve gifts from the Burden jewelry store were awarded to the following persons: Diamond ring and wrist watch to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Summe, of Burket; Sheaffer pen and pencil set to Mrs. Milo Maloy; Parco pen and pencil set to Elizabeth Galbreath, of Pierceton.
