    Jeremy Miller, a member of the Morehead State University Symphony Band, will travel and perform in the People's Republic of China this summer on a two-week performance tour sponsored by Morehead State University.

Miller is a 1995 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Miller, Claypool.

25 Years Ago

December 27 1983

    Linda and John Deneve, of Claypool, received two quality awards from the National Farmers Organization dairy department. Awards were presented for producing top quality milk by maintaining low bacteria levels and low lucocytes throughout the year.


50 Years Ago

December 27 1958

    T/Sgt. Malcolm Beezley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beezley, of North Webster, celebrated his 10th year in the U.S. Air Force recently. Beezley, who is stationed in Alaska, is scheduled to return to the United States in 1960. He served in the Korean War and has been assigned to other bases in the United States.

December 27 1933

    For the first time in 25 years, resident of Warsaw and Kosciusko County who desire good rye whisky for New Year's celebration can purchase the same at drug stores without violating any local or state liquor laws.

Previous to national prohibition, Kosciusko County was dry under local option for several years.
