December 22 1998

    Eric Rodenberg, a junior at Purdue University, was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society at the West Lafayette campus.

Rodenberg is majoring in chemistry and has a minor in pre-med. He is the son of Steve and Cheryl Rodenberg of Akron, and a 1996 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School.

    The residents of Grace Village Retirement Center were treated to Christmas songs and good cheer by the children of Warsaw Community Day Care Center. Five-year-olds Ryan Couture, Ernie Plymale and Brett McDonald were singing "Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer."

December 22 1958

    Fred E. Phillips, 21-year-old son of Our Town's Paul and Celia Phillips, has received special recognition for excelling in intramural sports competition at the University of Michigan. Fred was honored for excellence as fullback in intramural football. He is a former Warsaw High School star fullback.

December 22 1933

    The homes of H.K. Buskirk and Carl Richey at Tippecanoe Lake make a beautiful sight at night when the fancy lighting devices are turned on. Several large Christmas trees are lighted, as well as several strings of lights about the house. A large illuminated "Merry Christmas" sign across one of the homes in varicolored lights is also very attractive.
