    A new scholarship and a charitable trust were announced recently by 1st Source Bank. The Esther and Robert Pfleiderer Scholarship Trust has assets of more than $2 million, and will make annual scholarship awards to graduates of Warsaw Community High School. Also, 10 percent of the annual awards will be granted to Manchester College students through the college.

    The volleyball team of Jefferson Elementary School finished 5-0 and won the elementary championship this year. Team members are Carrie Nesbitt, Jodie Heckaman, Heidi Glass, Kami Johnson, Jenny Kessler, Karen Vanderlinden, Sarah Kessler, Nancy Burnworth, Sally Swihart, Ahnjuna Frush, Tonya Phillips, Leslie Miles, Aleisha Hall, Stacy Fuller, Sara Snyder and coach Jeff Cline.

    Dr. Richard L. Carman and his wife, Sandra, Warsaw, spent last weekend at Indiana University, Bloomington, in connection with the charter meeting of the division of Optometry Alumni Association.
     Mr. and John Grose and daughter, Donna, Warsaw left recently for Twentynine Palms, Calif., to spend Christmas with their son, Lance Cpl. Frank Grose, of the Marine Corps.

     Mr. and Mrs. Fred Surguy and Mrs. Jane Colchin have returned to their home in Warsaw after spending the past two weeks on a motor trip through the southern states. They also visited with friends and relatives in New Orleans.
      Mrs. Cass Dye and daughter, Peggy Lee, of Cumberland, Md., have come to Winona Lake to make their home. Cass Dye has visited here several weeks with his brother, Herb Dye, Winona Lake. Next week, Mr. and Mrs. Cass Dye will be at home on Chestnut Street.
