His name is Ragan Bach and he’s a junior at Grace College pursuing a physical education major. He has a special interest in the past that has driven him into a detailed study of the trappers who wandered the wetlands of those states. Every year about 200 history buffs gather near the Old Fort in Fort Wayne for the “Trappers and Traders Rendezvous.” Because of his unique hobby, Bach is a popular visitor at elementary schools where children get to see what the pioneer trapper looked like, the equipment he used, and learn how they survived the severe winters. 50 Years Ago Michael Valentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Valentine, Henderson Drive, and a 1963 graduate of Warsaw High School, was elected “Tyronian King” at Indiana University. Claudia Ann Fribley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fribley, has enrolled in the doctor’s assistant course at Elkhart University of Medical and Dental Technique. Charles A. Clemens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Clemens and a senior at Saint Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, has been nominated to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” He is studying pre-law courses. 75 Years Ago Sanders’ Sinclair Super Service Station, corner Center and Reed Streets, will inaugurate its opening to serve Warsaw motorists Saturday, Sept. 24, with a grand-opening event.
