10 Years AgoThe Kosciusko County commissioners will proceed with the first phase of a proposed bypass around the west side of Warsaw, beginning with road work on CR 350W. The initial project will include an upgrade of CR 350W to U.S. 30; construction of a new road and bridge from Old 30 to Park Schramm Road over the Tippecanoe River; and construction of a new road from Park Schramm Road to Crystal Lake Road, including an overpass for the railroad.25 Years AgoLeeAnn Kuilema, daughter of Doug and Jane Kuilema of North Webster, has been selected as an entrant in the 1986 Little Miss Jr. Indiana Pageant. The state pageant serves as a prerequisite to the national pageant at Miami Beach, Fla. Kuilema attends North Webster Elementary School where she is a member of the Girl Scouts and the fifth-grade choir.50 Years AgoRichard and Ward Kreigbaum, sons of Rev. and Mrs. Arnold Kreigbaum, Wooster Road, arrived home from Wheaton College. Richard, a sophomore, is majoring in French and Spanish. Ward, a freshman in liberal arts, has not yet selected his major.75 Years AgoThe annual Christmas party of the Pollyanna Club was held at the home of Mrs. Mary Ferguson recently, with 18 members present. The occasion was in the form of a 6 o'clock dinner, and the guests were seated at small tables, appropriately decorated for Christmas. After the dinner, bunco was played. Gifts from a large Christmas tree were exchanged among the members. The committee in charge was Mary Ferguson, Ethel Dufur, Maizie Lewis and Ferol Schlemmer.
