Derry Dillon, of DC Haircrafters, dyed the hair of Warsaw Community High School Athletic Director Dave Fulkerson this morning. Fulkerson agreed to dye his hair Tiger orange if students of the high school were able to collect 10,000 cans of food to donate to Combined Community Services.
CHICAGO - Carl Van Gilst, manager of engineering, Chore-Time Equipment Inc., Milford, has received the Doerfer Engineering Concept of the Year Award from the American Society of Agricultural Engineers.
AROUND OUR TOWN AND COUNTY - J.M. Chandler, of 1420 E. Jefferson St. in our town, writes that his great-granddaughter, on returning home from her first day at school, was asked how she liked school. She replied, "All right, but mother, I am going to have to study awful hard to know as much as my teacher."
Grocers and others marketing Christmas trees estimate that close to 1,000 trees will have been sold by Christmas eve. Dealers report about half of their stocks now sold. Today slightly in excess of 500 trees have been sold. Prices range from 25 cents to 75 cents each. Some dealers are out of the lower priced trees and have none cheaper than 40 cents each.
