POTPOURRI - Breaker, Breaker - Seems Warsaw Mayor Jeffrey W. Plank hasn't quite adjusted to all the electronic gadgets in his office. One day last week, the mayor urgently needed someone from the street department to stop a urinal from overflowing in the men's restroom at City Hall. And when he called for help on the radio in the mayor's office, little did he realize that several local residents have crystals in their scanners and listen to that frequency also. For the next week, the mayor received calls from people teasing him about the emergency.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Coahran, of Burket, Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Wainwright, Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Beyer and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Melick, all of Warsaw, attended a meeting of the Indiana council of Veterans of World War I, of the USA, at Indianapolis.
Bill Connell, Warsaw printer, said that he has no fears that his cat "Mike" ever will be kidnapped," as "Mike" is naturally marked on both sides with a perfect "C" in the fur. "Mike" recently has won distinction as a sitter, having remained upright on his haunches for 13 minutes at a time. In addition "Mike" has learned the art of wrestling and refrains from using the nails of his paws unless his adversary becomes too rough.
