For the Lowman men, getting their hair cut by Bob Conley is a rite of passage. Evan Lowman got his very first haircut recently by Bob Conley, according to Evan’s grandmother, Gloria Lowman. What makes Evan’s haircut special – besides it being his first – is that Evan is a fifth generation of Lowmans to have his hair cut by Bob. Earl Lowman, Evan’s late great-great-grandfather, first got his hair cut by Bob in the early 1970s when Bob had a barber shop in Burket. Evan’s father, Eric, grandfather, John, and great-grandfather, Marvin, each have since had their hair cut by Bob.
