   Armory Support Team #14 membership increased by nine following a swearing-in ceremony recently at the National Guard Armory. The men, all military veterans, are now part of the 1st Brigade 3rd Battalion, Indiana Guard Reserve. Capt. Greg Smith, North Webster, AST #14’s team leader, is commander of the largest AST in Indiana with 16 volunteers. Sworn in as an IGR officer was Chuck Hazzard of Syracuse.    Two Kosciusko County farmers were recognized as Outstanding Young Pork Producers in the state. Kevin McSherry, Claypool, and John J. Sands, Silver Lake, were both given the honor at the annual Indiana Pork Conference this weekend. The Outstanding Young Pork Producer award is given by the association to recognize young pork producers for production abilities and Pork Producer Association activities. Recipients of the award are selected from those nominated for the Pork All American Award.

   Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kuntz, of Bourbon, will leave this week for Tucson, Ariz., to visit their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kuntz. From there they will go to California and Florida before returning home.

   Ben Detterman, stellar Warsaw basketball and football player, will lead the Tiger squad against a field of 13 other teams in defense of the Kosciusko County cage title here Thursday night. Detterman plays guard and has been a mainstay of the Tiger bulwark throughout the season. Detterman is a senior and will be lost to the squad this year by graduation.
