    A new series of mystery books has a Warsaw connection. Natalie Buske Thomas, formerly of Warsaw and now a resident of Minnesota, has introduced The Serena Wilcox Mystery Series. The series is available on the Internet.

November 9 1984

    An aerial photography contract was awarded to a Missouri firm during the regular meeting of the Kosciusko County commissioners.

The firm's camera crew will fly 558 square miles, taking photos of the entire county. Then, the firm will provide transparency mylar maps to the county, which will be stored in the surveyor's office. The maps are used by all branches of county government and are especially important in the upcoming reassessment program.

November 9 1959

    More than 500 Kosciusko County Scottish Rite Masons and guests honored Warsaw Postmaster Frank O. Rarick at a dinner at the Westminster hotel, Winona Lake. He was presented the 33rd degree jewel, a symbol of the highest honor in Scottish Rite Masonry.


75 Years Ago

November 9 1934

    Although Warsaw and Kosciusko County suffered severely from the drought, the township, city and private gardens for which the trustee furnished seed, saved Wayne Township in cash approximately $1,450, according to Harvey D. McCleary, Wayne Township trustee.

The Wayne township garden, located on East Market Street, produced 500 bushels of potatoes. Warsaw municipal gardens located at North Detroit street produced 800 bushels.
