W. Clement Stone, president of the board of directors of the Chicago Boys Club, has paid $75,000 for 14.4 acres of Camp Kosciusko, the former summer conference center of the United Presbyterian Synod of Indiana. The Boys Club can expand its facilities by purchasing the adjacent campgrounds. Camp Kosciusko is situated on approximately 17 acres at the southeast edge of Winona Lake. Officials of the Winona Lake Bible Conference are negotiating with the synod to purchase the two-story lodge on the grounds, about three acres. The synod will develop a new conference center and resident campsite next spring north of Rochester on the west side of U.S. 31 comprising 200 acres of rolling, wooded land. It is hoped work can be completed in time to schedule a full program of activities in 1966.
