Tippecanoe Valley High School sophomore Brittany Northcutt recently earned a perfect score of 720 on the math portion of the ISTEP+ and had the highest language arts score. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Northcutt, Warsaw.

The Greater Warsaw Area Chamber of Commerce was recently awarded a state matching grant of $3,100 to produce the county’s first bus and group tour guide. The brochure will be 24 pages and include information about restaurants, attractions, festivals, agricultural tours, historical tours and other events and sites relevant to a travel group or visitor. The purpose for the production of this brochure is to increase the number of bus tours for Kosciusko County. In 1985 and 1986, the county received between $2-2.6 million to its market as a result of the tourism efforts of the chamber, according to chamber officials. The 1987 target is set at $2.3-3 million for a one-year period.

Sue Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Brown, Warsaw, is Leesburg High School’s candidate for State Homemaker of Tomorrow and a $1,500 scholarship. Sue made the highest score in a recent examination on homemaking knowledge and attitudes taken by senior girls in her school. She and winners from other Indiana high schools will be considered for the state homemaker title.

Mrs. Robert Babcock is spending the weekend at Buchanan, Mich., visiting with her son, Donald. Mrs. Dale Babcock, of Winona Lake, is employed at LaVogue shop during the absence of her mother-in-law.
