“This was a big way to come to 2A.” That’s how Triton junior Ashli Senff summed up Triton’s volleyball season after a 15-2, 15-10 loss to Muncie Burris in the first game of the state finals. Although the Trojans lost in the first game of the state finals, the Triton squad made a splash in its first season as a 2A competitor.

Warsaw’s Downtown Halloween Treat attracted nearly 800 children trick-or-treaters to downtown businesses. Two hundred children participated in the costume judging contest. Five-year-old Richard Spresser was the winner of the grand-prize bicycle donated by Harvey’s Mart. Downtown Halloween Treat was sponsored by the Warsaw Community Development Corp.

50 Years Ago

Allan and Sharon Grimm, of Atwood, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Grimm, won an award recently at the district FFA and 4-H commercial beef banquet at Fort Wayne. The award, one of four, was given for the best job of making money. Allen and Sharon raised five Angus steers on which they cleared approximately $80 per head.

Dr. J.W. Hoyt left recently for West Virginia where he will be engaged in evangelistic work. Hoyt expects to be absent from the city for several weeks.

Miss Helen Garber has resigned as waitress from the Favorite cafe to accept a position with the Warsaw Printing Company in the place of Miss Agnes Shaffer, who soon will resign.
