    Steve Jones, a local designer, will have his work seen by thousands for years to come.

Jones' concept was selected by the Kosciusko 21st Century Foundation as the best out of 37 logos submitted. He received $500 for submitting the winning design.

November 7 1984

    Wednesday, Nov. 7 is "IALAC DAY". IALAC stands for: "I Am Loveable and Capable." The second hour Quest class of WCHS is asking everyone to be extra nice to someone on that day, pay someone a sincere compliment; give your mother a hug and smile rather than frown.

Quest is a "personal development" class where communication skills, personal relationships, and other skills needed for living are learned. Rick Swaim is the WHCS teacher.

November 7 1959

    Veteran Warsaw Attorney Allan Widaman, at 76, oldest of the candidates here locally, joined in the Republican landslide. He defeated his Democrat opponent for city judge, Kenneth D. Haldeman. He will become Warsaw's first city judge, by virtue of a new state law taking away the mayor's right to act as city judge in fifth-class cities.

    Warsaw's share of the national debt, pro rated, as it stands today is $1,494,000. Did you know that estimating Warsaw's population at 6,000, which is plenty high, each man, woman and child in Warsaw owes $249 as his share of the national debt.
