    INDIANAPOLIS - The National FFA Organization announced that Brian J. Warren of North Webster has been selected as a national finalist for the National FFA Proficiency Award. Warren is one of four people chosen to compete for this award at the national finals this month in Kansas City, Mo.

    New officers of the Indiana State Poultry Association Inc., were elected at the Tri-State Poultry Meeting held recently in Fort Wayne. Among them were Brock VanMeter, Farm Tech, Inc., Leesburg, past president.

November 6 1958

    Betty Williams was elected president of the newly organized Claypool chapter of Future Homemakers of America in a meeting at the school.

Other officers are: Jean Lett, vice president; Connie Morris, secretary; Hattie Allen, treasurer; Jean Lundy, editor; Janet Shoemaker, parliamentarian; Marjorie Thompson, historian; Virginia Patrick, song leader; and Marjorie Drudge, pianist.

November 6 1933

    Thirteen tables of bridge progressed at the BPOE hall at their first bridge party of the season. George Boone received first men's prize, with Merl Scoles, receiving second high. First ladies' prize was awarded to Mrs. John Motto, with second prize going to Mrs. Clark Holbrook.
