    Students in Rod Yoder's honors physics class are learning by doing.

To demonstrate physics principles and to illustrate a lesson on buoyancy, Yoder directed his Warsaw Community High School students to build their own boats out of cardboard, and then float them in the WCHS pool.

    Curt Anders was selected as Triton's DAR Good Citizen for this year. Anders is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anders of Bourbon.

January 15 1959

    Bill James, agriculture teacher at Leesburg High School, was severely penalized recently when a sleight-of-tongue trick didn't work. On a dare from his daughter, 10-year-old Jessie, Bill put a plastic spider - an inch or more in diameter - in his mouth and pretended to swallow it. That is, he planned to hide it inside his cheek. However, the horrible thing slipped down his throat. More chagrined than alarmed, Bill bowed to family pressure after several days and consulted a doctor. The medic prescribed a stiff dose of castor oil.

    Mable Smith, Epworth Cottage, Winona Lake, has just been awarded a certificate of recipe endorsement by a national magazine contest, for her recipe, "Peanut Butter Cookies."
