    TERRE HAUTE - Brian Koser, a senior fitness major from Pierceton, is a member of the nationally-recognized Indiana State University Sycamore cheer team. He was one of five members named to the 1998 National Cheerleaders Association collegiate All-American squad.

November 5 1983

    Wawasee's Kris Cox was one of only two players to earn first team all-Northern Lakes Conference football honors both offensively and defensively in Monday night's all-NLC voting at Concord High School.

Cox was voted first team as the place-kicker on offense and a punter on defense. The only other two-way player was Rochester's Craig Burton, picked first team both as a running back and linebacker by the league coaches.

    Ruth Grimm of this city, student at Purdue University, has won first place in the final of the annual Lodde public speaking contest held by the home economics department.

Grimm spoke on "A Co-Ed Activity Travelogue." She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grimm, East Main Street.
