Edgewood Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team won the NELMSC championship played at Warsaw Community High School. The girls defeated Plymouth 21-6, 21-10; Wawasee 21-3, 21-6; and Lakeview 21-14, 21-15 to finish the season with a 21-0 record. Members are Kalli Volkert, Autumn Deeter, Abby Pratt, Avelina Gonzalez, Kaitlin Reichard, Kelci Freds, Alec Reese, Sydney Keefer, Lauren Sciarra, Cendall Ogle, Kaitlin Gruenewald, Sarah Schilling, Bethany Ransbottom, Corrine Coon, manager Kristen Barnes and Coach Gary Mohler.
Wawasee's Dynamic Duo are quarterback Kory Lantz and running back Jordan Swain. The two have helped take Coach Joe Rietveld's Warrior program to the next level, leading their team 9-1 into the sectional semifinal with DeKalb.

Brook Kuhl, 7, son of Vicki Kuhl, North Webster, was named the grand prize winner of the Milford Community Halloween costume party Saturday by dressing as the Joker. More than 100 children attended, including one "special guest," Happy the Hobo from TV Channel 55.
Little Tiger Preschool visited residents of Mason Health Care and conducted a costume parade. Dorothy Baum, resident, handed out treats.
Hanni Miller and Carley Clemens are part of Warsaw Christian School's Family Fun Fair Night at the school featuring food, games, face-painting and an auction.
Andrea Hoover, 5, Leesburg, and Teryn Sahagun, 6, Syracuse, rode the teeter-totter at Center Lake Park. Many children are out enjoying the mild temperatures.

Miller's Merry Manor is now in operation. Formerly the old county home, which the Wallace Miller's purchased at auction from the county commissioners April 7, the interior of the rugged, stately, double-brick structure has undergone a complete transformation. The high ceilings have been lowered in each room. There is new tile flooring, new furniture and fixtures throughout. Each room is painted a different pastel color. Built in 1895, the building resembles a fine old mansion with three spacious screened porches. Dr. and Mrs. C.C. DuBois, prominent Warsaw citizens, are now making it their home

 Mr. and Mrs. John Gill, 522 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, are celebrating their golden anniversary, united in marriage at Silver Lake Aug. 30, 1889. They are parents of seven living children. Mr. Gill, 70, was born in a log cabin five miles south of Warsaw and has been an auctioneer for 35 years in Kosciusko County. His wife, 66, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Allspaugh, Lake Township pioneers.
Thomas Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Peterson, West Fort Wayne Street, has accepted a position at the Jet White store.
