Charles Wells, of 733 N. Lake St., and Robert Wells of Barbee Lake, killed a 200-pound black bear earlier this month in Michigan. The men spotted the animal hiding in a tree and waited two hours for him to come down and then felled him with 62- and 47-pound bows. Three well-aimed arrows from a distance of 40 yards killed the bear. The men enjoyed bear steaks and will have a bearskin rug this winter.
