Brooke Geiger, a 1998 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, and Mindi Martin, a 1998 NorthWood High School graduate, are members of Agape, a five-member women's gospel ensemble from Bethel College, Mishawaka. The group will perform at various Midwest locations during the 1999 fall tour.
Hoosiers will pay more for gasoline this Thanksgiving than a few months ago, according to a survey by the Hoosier Motor Club.
It was a happy occasion at the Alfran nursing home in Warsaw when John Snyder, 76, received his 50-year Masonic pin from Charles E. Cook, a 33-degree Mason and past grand commander of the grand commandry of the State of Indiana. Mr. Snyder, of North Manchester, has been a patient at the nursing home for six years. He became a Mason in 1906.
The annual Father and Son banquet of the United Brethren Church was held Friday evening with 125 present. Judge Donald Vanderveer of Milford was the speaker of the evening and delivered a most forceful address, pointing out the advantages for a child of an ideal early life. The speaker also urged that the home life of the child be made as happy as possible, so that he be not impressed with a scar of disillusionment as to the real purposes of life during his childhood days.
