    Jeffrey Binder has been promoted to president, DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. DePuy Orthopaedics is the U.S. joint reconstruction business of DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company.

He advanced to the presidency after joining DePuy in November 1997, as executive vice president of marketing.

    INDIANAPOLIS - Wawasee High School senior Kris Cox has been voted to the Associated Press Class AAA All-State second team as a punter.

Cox averaged some 40 yards per punt for the Warriors and had a 78-yarder in the season finale with Warsaw.

    Richard Jay Lundy, who played on the North Webster High School varsity basketball team prior to graduation last spring, has won a berth on the freshman team at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. He is the son of Mrs. Duane Leery, Barbee Lake, and Sam R. Lundy, Pierceton.

    Officials of the Winona-Warsaw street car line posed in front of The Times office along with the Winona-Warsaw street car for a picture which will show not only them but a crew of a score or more workmen employed in removing the street car tracks from Market Street loop. Charles Sigler was the one official who witnessed and took part in both the building and removal of the loop track.
