Christ's Covenant Church will dedicate its new facility at 1090 E. Pierceton Road, Winona Lake, Sunday, Nov. 20. The church, founded in 1977 by four families, has previously met in a home, a cafeteria, a store front and for five years at Lakeland Christian Academy. Larry McCall is senior pastor.
Warsaw Community High School senior Julie Seiss, daughter of Stan and Linda Seiss, has signed her letter of intent to play basketball for the Butler University Bulldogs this fall. She is now in her fourth year starting at point guard for the Lady Tigers. Seiss has 1,047 career points, fourth all-time at WCHS, and has helped the Lady Tigers achieve a 60-16 record.

Vickie Foreman is Employee of the Month at Explorer Van, where she has worked for 10 years. She and her husband, Russell, live in Warsaw with their child, Jamie, 11. Her hobbies
include camping.
Nov. 12-16 is BEAR (Be Enthusiastic About Reading) WEEK at Claypool Elementary School. Activities include creating banners, mobiles and wall hangings, a storybook character parade, a Paddington play, and special visitors. In Beth Heiman's second-grade class, Brittiany Lindzy and Tabitha Zon are encouraged to read by a special visitor--Yogi Bear.
To celebrate National Children's Book Week, Margaret Fritzell, Warsaw Community Public Library, visited Sacred Heart school to share the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder.
50 Years
The Times-Union November Calendar Girl is Debbie Money, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Money, of Route 4, Syracuse, and a junior at Syracuse High School. Debbie and her faithful dog, Snort, are eager for pheasant, quail or whatever hunting season.
Rev. Watson Goodman, manager of the World Missionary Press at Winona Lake, will be the featured speaker at the World Community Day service Friday, Nov. 5, in the lower auditorium of the new Light and Life Press building of the Free Methodist Publishing House. He and his wife, Rose, had previously served 14 years as missionaries in Africa. The United Church Women, Mrs. Robert Stafford, president, is sponsoring the event.

Postmaster Roy E.K. Bowen announced today, Oct. 30, that a limited supply of the new "Emancipation" stamps, but 2,000, are on sale now after a detainment of a week. The purple three-cent issue, with a picture of Lincoln, commemorates the 75th anniversary of the thirteenth amendment.
The Peterson Lumber Company, of Warsaw, has been awarded the contract for equipping the doors and windows at the Warsaw postoffice with weather-proof, metal insect screens, also for the installation of a metal guard on the rear loading platform. The Peterson bid was the lowest of the three received--$1,022.
Officer John Bough's miniature, glass China shoe collection soared to 170.
