November 23 1999

    The Warsaw girls swim team started the 1999 season on the right foot last Saturday when they traveled to Elkhart Memorial and defeated the Crimson Chargers 106-79.

The Tigers earned the score of 106 by winning nine of the 12 events, including all three relays and placing second in six of the events.

November 23 1984

    The new president of the Warsaw Noon Optimist Club, Greg DuPont, received the symbol of the office, a gavel, from Past President Steve Creighton. DuPont was also honored at the newly formed club's first banquet recently as "Optimist Of The Year."

November 23 1959

    Warsaw Community School Board members have accepted the basic design for the proposed new senior high school center to be built on the south side of East Smith Street, west of the fairgrounds, at a cost of approximately $1.8 million. The building will be single story, except one wing which will be two story.

November 23 1934

    The Social Circle of the Women's Relief corps met recently in the G.A.R. hall. During the business session, it was decided to bring gifts for the needy to the Christmas party, to be held at the hall in December. The members and guests then formed five tables of bunco. Mrs. Elizabeth Longfellow won the first prize and Mrs. Mattie Hatfield the consolation.
