Four members of the Warsaw Community High School Percussion Ensemble competed in the contests for soloists at the "Day of Marching Percussion" at Morehead (Ky.) State University.
Senior Ben Handel won the award for Best Tenor Drummer and Brandon Bussard won Best Snare Drummer. Senior Matt Tusing and junior Barry Eppley also competed. Each student composed an original two-three minute percussion solo and performed it for two judges and a large crowd of spectators.

A tractor-mounted grain drill developed by farmer-inventor Stan Brown, Pierceton, is featured in the current issue of "Farm Show" magazine.
"We built it because we couldn't buy one," says Brown, who along with his father and brothers designed a new "interseeder" that actually mounts through the center of a tractor for near-perfect intercropping accuracy.

ROCHESTER - For 15 days, Reita Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Smith of near here, has been suffering with hiccoughs. Physicians have been unable to stop the attack.
