    GREENCASTLE - Amanda L. Sawyer, a junior at DePauw University, is participating in Sports Night, a part of the DePauw Community Service program.

Sawyer, a graduate of Warsaw Community High School, is the daughter of Dr. Douglas and Mrs. Peggy Sawyer, Warsaw.

    A Warsaw Freshman High teacher was honored with a top award at the recent meeting of the Northern Indiana Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Phil Krieg, Warsaw, was one of two persons to receive the Gene Lefever Award. A biology and math teacher, he has operated from a wheelchair for the last two years.

    Phil Arnolt, a 6-0, 190-pound guard from Nappanee, was selected on the Associated Press All-Indiana High School football honor squad.

Arnolt was the only player chosen from this area.

    The ladies' quartet of the U.B. Church, composed of Mrs. Virgil Doran and daughter, Delta Deane, Mrs. Clifford Ererenman and Mrs. Conn Williamson and pianist, Mrs. Dale Woodruff, motored to Nappanee on Sunday evening where they sang in the U.B. Church and were guests of Rev. and Mrs. Schuler.
