“Feeding the Flock,” a cookbook of more than 600 recipes from Warsaw Wesleyan Church, will be ready for Christmas. Pre-publication price is $9; after Nov. 20, the cost is $9.50. Proceeds will go to Ladies In Fellowship Together.
Winners in the Lincoln Elementary School pumpkin design contest sponsored by the PTO are: Susan Donkers, fourth grade; Stephanie Martin, kindergarten; Tiffany Polston, second.
Evangelistic meetings will be held at the Claypool United Methodist Church Nov. 9-11 with the Rev. Phil Granger, Kokomo.

A chilly crowd was warmed by the excitement of 60 cars qualifying at the Warsaw Speedway Saturday night. Pete Gross of Warsaw flipped his car but escaped injury. Larry Plummer, Larwill, was the stock dash winner and Earl Egolf, North Manchester, won the jalopy dash event. A 100-lap feature will highlight next Saturday’s program with super modified cars returning to the track. Milo Clase broadcast the race over WRSW through the courtesy of Latta Pure Oil Service, Lake City Industrials and Best Cap Tire.
Terry Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hill, Pierceton, has enrolled at the Gale Institute, Minneapolis, Minn., where he will be taking a business course. He is a 1962 graduate of Pierceton High School.

Silver Lake’s Bill Wedrick is shown with his yearling Herford bull, Rupert, which was judged the best in the entire state of Indiana at the State Fair. He is the first Kosciusko County cattleman ever to win a cattle award at the State Fair.
City Park pavilion manager Carl Chapman attracts a big crowd while trying to land a fighting 10-pound pike he hooked casting from a boat near shore. The fish bit off the line and escaped just as he almost landed him. The crowd was disappointed.
