    Heidi Workman and Evan Boggs have been accepted as honor students at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion for the 2000 fall semester.

Workman, the daughter of Mark and Janice Workman of Winona Lake, will study elementary education. Boggs, the son of Brett and Sarah Boggs of Akron, will study criminal justice.

    Cecille Rosete was crowned 1985 Triton Junior Miss Saturday night in the school auditorium.

The daughter of Mrs. Clarita Rosete of Bourbon and the late Conrado Rosete, she was awarded a $700 scholarship along with a trophy, a color consultation, roses and a trip to Indiana Junior Miss Pageant at Frankfort.

November 16 1959

    Leo Henderson, one of two Republican candidates who lost to Prohibitionists in the Winona Lake town board election Nov. 3, said today he would ask for a recount.

According to Henderson, the other losing GOP candidate, C.C. Shira, would also seek a recount of the votes. Henderson lost to Norman Bradfield 280 to 273, and Shira was defeated by Virgil Brock 281 to 271.

    The Purdue Home Projects club met recently at the beautiful country home of Mrs. Russel Creighton, with Mrs. Russell Knepp, the president, on the stool. Mrs. Nettie Smith was the assisting hostess. The membership roll is now 25 complete. The lesson was on "Meat Buying and Cutting" and "Meal Planning With Cheaper Cuts."
