J.C. “Mac” Silveus recently retired - again. He was serving as interim executive director of Warsaw Community Development Corp. for more than a year. His successor is Carmen Lock, a longtime member of the WCDC board of directors and more recently, events coordinator. Silveus was honored by those working in the Chamber of Commerce building with breakfast at Breading’s.

By the spring of 1987, Kosciusko County will have placed markers for visitors to the county. These markers will identify the various stops for the Kosciusko County historical self-guided tour and Kosciusko County self-guided agricultural tour. The concept of the tours is not new, but it was decided the markers would make it easier for visitors to locate the sites and attractions.

Miss Peggy Sisk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sisk Sr., Warsaw, is the newly elected state secretary of Lambda Chi Omega sorority. She was chosen at the state convention in Bedford. A member of Upsilon chapter in Warsaw for seven years, Miss Sisk has served here as corresponding secretary and spent the past two years as rush captain. The chapter presented her with a gift in recognition of the honors bestowed on her by the state organization.

Mr. and Mrs. I.C. Van Dyke of Winona Lake went to Greencastle Saturday morning where they will visit over the weekend with their daughter, Sara, who is a student at DePauw University. Saturday was Dad’s Day, and a football game was scheduled between Wabash College and DePauw University.

Ernest Adams, who for the past has enjoyed a vacation in southern Indiana, on Sunday will return to this city. He will resume his position at the Watson Drug Store.
