    NORTH WEBSTER - Thanks to a state grant, North Webster was able to add another man to its police force.

Christopher D. Rager, Winona Lake, was sworn in during the town council meeting as the fifth officer in the North Webster Police Dept.

November 13 1982

    Although no one was sure what size shoe it wore, employees and customers at W&W Shoe Village, Lakeview Shopping Center, were sure they could not fit the deer that came crashing through the front window of the store shortly Saturday.

The deer jumped back out through another window as quickly as it jumped in, and ran toward the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

November 13 1957

    Max Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Long, Route 2, Warsaw, returned home from Lubbok, Texas, having completed four years of service in the air force. Max will work for Delco-Remy in Anderson.

November 13 1932

    Proposal for the city of Warsaw to borrow $70,000 from the Reconstruction Finance Corp. for the construction of a sewage disposal plant was informally discussed when members of the city council, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Warsaw bankers gathered at the Hotel Hayes.

The city would be obligated to repay the loan over a period of 20 years at the rate of about $7,000 yearly, $3,500 of which would be for interest at 5 percent and $3,500 repayment of principal.
