Winners of the Evening Mixed Bridge group were Elaine Loser, John Clay, Kathleen Martin, Elim Smith, Karyl Smith, Irma Swank, Dale Wright, Dory Wright and Rosalee Spear. 25 Years Ago Telephones will be ringing throughout the Warsaw Community School district Nov. 16, as school volunteers attempt to reach some 500 taxpayers in the school system. Callers will be asking residents to rate the school system and its services by assigning letter grades of A, B, C, D or F to such areas as staff administration, school board, discipline, receipt of parent input, etc. The information gained from the survey will be tabulated and presented at the December meeting of the board of school trustees. 50 Years Ago Fred Williamson, of Atwood, and his grandson, Mike Williamson, of Etna Green, are leaving for Punta Gorda, Fla. Mike will fly back after a two-week vacation. Mr. Williamson will spend the winter months in Florida and will return to Atwood the last of April. 75 Years Ago Miss Frances Smith was selected by popular vote of the audience at the Centennial Theatre recently to be Miss Warsaw in the annual Muck contest, which will be held at Kendallville. The winner of the contest at Kendallville will be given a $100 fur coat from Greenblatts, South Bend. Four other beautiful Warsaw girls modeled gowns from the Marianne Shop at the theatre.
