Kosciusko County Historical Society’s newest book, “A History of the City of Warsaw, Ind. - Preserving the Past for the Future,” is now available and a book signing reception will be held Sunday at the museum. Michelle Bormet, secretary to Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins, wrote the 264-page book that contains more than 425 photos.

Steve Hollar, a Warsaw resident attending DePauw University, posed near a poster of the movie “Hoosiers,” in which he portrays Rade Butcher, a member of Cinderella-like Hickory Huskers basketball team. Hollar, who attended the movie’s world premiere in Indianapolis Monday night, will be at the Lake Theatre in Warsaw Friday when the movie opens here. A benefit premiere Thursday will aid the Kosciusko County Special Olympics.

Mr. Frederick and Betty Jean Ewert leave Saturday for three days in Chicago where they are enrolled in the Virginia Farrell Academy of advanced hairstyling while attending the Beauty Exposition at McCormicks Place.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Garber, of this city, plan to attend the Purdue vs. Michigan State football game Saturday at Lafayette.

R. Webster of the Salvation Army, who for the past year has been stationed in this community, will leave next week for Richmond, Ind., where he will be in charge of a post in conjunction with a nursery and clinic. Mrs. Webster, who for some time has been visiting at Dyer, and daughter, Marjorie, will accompany Mr. Webster to Richmond.
