Eudolph Holycross, general chairman, said there would be nine events to commemorate the founding in 1854. The town’s name, originally Huntsville, was changed to Larwill after a surveyor who worked there. Pamela Carlberg, 4, and sister Diane, 9, each won second-place in the instrumental and miscellaneous divisions at the Indiana State Fair. A semi truck was damaged $9,000 when it upset and crashed into three parked cars and a utility pole in the parking lot of Woodies Super Market, North Lake Street. The store, with a record as the city’s oldest appliance business, is rushing preparations and plans for one of the most elaborate gala events on record. Rural electrification projects throughout the county have opened up a new field; appliance dealers are realizing the importance of electric refrigerators and ranges in the happiness of the home. Gerald Teeter, Warsaw, Eugene Zolman and Luther Tully, both of Claypool, left for McCormick’s Creek State Park where they will attend the 4-H Club camp.
