    Abby Higgins, Jacob Stomatt and Hailee Blackburn listened to Warsaw fireman Jon Evans explain how he uses firefighting equipment. The kids were part of a group from Presby Preschool that visited the Center Street fire station as part of Fire Safety Week.

    WEST LAFAYETTE - Seventeen new members have been named to the Co-ed Choral Club, one of four singing groups in the Purdue Musical Organizations, William E. Luhman, director, announced.

Among those named to the club was Wende Ann Metzger, Warsaw.

    James Rassi, of Nappanee, received the Eagle Scout award at a recent Jayce banquet.

James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rassi, is the first Nappanee boy to receive the award in 20 years of Scout activity in Nappanee.

October 8 1932

    Eight Warsaw boys, members of the local Boy Scout troop, accompanied by R.O. Nusbaum, troop committeeman, attended, as guests of Notre Dame University, the Notre Dame vs. Haskell football game at Notre Dame. It is the custom of the university to grant free admission to all Boy Scouts upon request. Scouts attending from here were: Harry Watkins Jr., Ben Mishler, Roger Sanders, Arden Hull, John Chinworth, Philip Smith, Roger Nusbaum and James Pottenger.
