    WINONA LAKE - Grace College will celebrate its 50th anniversary this weekend by commemorating the renovation of the building where it all began.

The Mount Memorial Building (formerly the Free Methodist Headquarters), where Grace first held classes, will be inaugurated.

    Members of the Warsaw cross country team that won its second straight NLC meet title are Doug Smith, Tim Lewis, Rich Fairfield, Sean Rhodes, John Evans, Matt Rhodes, Ryan Weihler, Gary Hoover, Chuck Bremmer, Tom Waikel, Mike Henn, Mike Harkness, Pat Fuller, Alan Alderfer and Eric Nesbitt. They are coached by Stan Seiss and Stacy Ellis and Jenny Lewis are managers.


50 Years Ago

October 7 1958

    LaMar Kilmer, of Syracuse, accepted a trophy from Leesburg Principal Ed Trexler after winning the Kosciusko County High School cross-country race at the Wawasee Golf Course. Kilmer covered a distance of almost two miles in 10:17.8 With five teammates placing among the first 10 finishers, Syracuse easily won the team championship.

    Jean Corbin, daughter of Mrs. D.E. Corbin and Billie Sims, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover W. Sims, all of Winona Lake, have been selected as members of the A Cappella Choir of Northeast Missouri State Teachers' College. The choir is under the direction of Barrett Stout.
