A five-person women’s golf team from North Manchester went to Disney World to compete in the 2001 Oldsmobile Scramble National Finals recently. Bertha Butterbaugh, Patti Holler, Donna Fowerbaugh, Kathy Metzger and club professional Quinn Griffing finished the final round and earned first-place honors in the competition.

Pam Yoder, daughter of Rita and Jeff Yoder, Bourbon, was crowned Triton High School’s Junior Miss recently. Monica Drochner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Drochner, Tippecanoe, was named first runner-up and was also awarded the Spirit of Junior Miss and the Youth Fitness Award. Yoder won with her performance in the creative and performing arts competition with a pantomime to “Along Comes Jones.”

Mrs. Alice Gerard, of Warsaw, who has just been appointed public relations representative for the Indiana Artists Club Inc., for this area, is exhibiting some of her paintings at the 29th annual exhibit of the Indiana Artists Club Inc., at L.S. Ayres and Company in Indianapolis.

Mr. and Mrs. Leolin (Bud) Moon and daughter Marita Jo, of Warsaw, left for Chicago where they will visit with the former’s sister, Mrs. S.B. Miles. Mr. Moon also will attend the National Restaurant Association convention now in progress there.

Mrs. E.G. Haymaker, of Winona Lake, will leave soon for Port Arthur, Texas, where she will visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. T.L. Osborne.
