The U.S. Postal Service and Hershey's candies teamed up to provide a national pumpkin decorating contest. Burket Post Office sponsored a contest Oct. 22 for community kids. Thirteen children and their parents transformed pumpkins into their own creations using Hershey's candies. Winners from Burket: Cheyenne Jackson, first; Kaylynn May, second. Both received a stuffed bear.
The Dancing Grannies will be the guest entertainers Nov. 1 at Senior Hour, a new program held monthly at the Warsaw Community Public Library. The troupe, composed of 10 seniors ages 67-88, began in 1990.
