The Warsaw Wave under-12 travel soccer team recently completed a 10-0 season in the Northern Indiana Soccer League. They defeated the Elkhart Flame in the tournament championship. Team members are Zach Hight, Ray Truman, Jimmy Delaney, Adam Wishart, Drew Miles, Travis Kempton, Charles Lee, Eric Lane, Austin Evans, Rob Walmer, Jake Rogers, Kyle Conrad, Nate Salsgiver, Brian Kolbe, Nate Fitzsimmons, Kyle Cowan and Adam Churchill. Coaches are Paul Mccomas and Jim Churchill.
Brenda Wright, daughter of Waitsel and Adeline Wright, has been selected winner in the Century III Leaders local competition at Tippecanoe Valley High School.
Members of the Legion Post's Troop 75 that will be installed as Eagle Scouts in a ceremony at the Warsaw American Legion are Danny Brookins, Alan Gigous, Steve Pratt, Eddie Watkins, Steve Bumbaugh, David Knisely, Tom Gatke, Val Metzger, Herb Bailey, David Howard, Steve Godshalk, Don Robinson, Bob Bayne and Steve Sadler. Scoutmasters are Dick Lesh and Bob Pfeiffer.
Freeland Phillips was re-elected president of the Kappa Alpha Phi fraternity at the regular business meeting. Other officers elected were: vice president, Russell Meredith; secretary, Earl Smith; and treasurer, Charles Miller.
