Jan Campbell, who lives on Tippecanoe Lake with her husband Scott and son Scotty, and runs Stephan Enterprises Inc., recently got some national publicity. Campbell and Stephan Enterprises are mentioned on page 87 of the November Woman’s Day magazine, in a story titled “Mothers of Invention.” Campbell came up with the idea of the “Boo-Boo Bunny,” and now makes and sells that plus other children’s items in North Webster and at a new facility on the north side of Pierceton.

The Altrusa Club of Warsaw has received the District 6 (Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky) prestigious Mamie A. Bass Award for their work in opening the Kosciusko County home for the abused, the Beaman Home. The presentation of the award, which is given for the outstanding civic project conducted by an Altrusa Club, was presented to the local club president, Charlene Bradbury, at the Annual Fall Conference held in Louisville, Ky. recently.

It will be strictly “treat” at Winona Lake for Grace College students, who will be doing some special type of “Halloweening” for today and Tuesday. The students will be going door-to-door, asking for donations to the 13-member United Fund organization. Each class will take one-fourth of the town. Grace students are working with Town Chairman Mrs. Howard Scott.

The DePuy Manufacturing Company is now occupying its newly built factory building at 409-411 W. Market St., adjacent to its old location. The company manufactures surgical splints and fracture appliances and has been an outstanding institution in Warsaw for many years. It was founded in 1895 by R. DePuy, operating in a basement room under the old State Bank building. It covers the nation with two score traveling salesmen. Herschel V. Leiter is president of the company.
