HUNTINGTON - Huntington College's 1998 Homecoming King and Queen were crowned Oct. 2.
POTPOURRI - First Paramedic - Tony Hartman, the son of Carol Bohlin, Leesburg, and Al Hartman, Warsaw, officially became the first paramedic in Kosciusko County this week. Hartman received a letter from the Indiana Emergency Medical Service Commission saying that he has successfully completed paramedic training.
Larry Yazel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Yazel, of Bourbon, is one of three students taken into Blue Key, men's service honorary, at Ball State Teachers' College.
Here is another one for Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" column. Frank N. Leas reported that he has a Duchess pear tree, 10 years old which is 1/3 full of blooms. The tree is near his residence on Market Street and Maple Avenue.
