    The Monday Men's After-Work League at Big Boulder Golf Course held its Tournament Day and End-Of-The-Year banquet recently at the Milford course. Jason Strickler, Warsaw, was the league champion, winning both the tournament and season champion trophies. Warsaw's Monty Wolf earned season second place; Goshen's Mike McFarland, season third place; and Milford's Dave Martin, season fourth place.

    SILVER LAKE - Michael Fishbaugh, who has been employed the past 3-3/4 years as radio dispatcher for the Kosciusko Sheriff's Dept., has been named the new Silver Lake Town Marshal.

Fishbaugh replaces Eddie Wright as the town marshal and public works superintendent.

October 23 1957

    Three North Manchester resident received their citizenship papers in the United States district court at South Bend.

Those made citizens were Mrs. Zelma Sulpins, 403 Miami St.; Robert Sulpins, at the same address; and Tatiana Bertulsons, 306 Kessler St. All are from Latvia.

    Mrs. E.W. Gresso gave a bridge-luncheon at her residence, 527 E. Main St., for the ladies of the Tippecanoe Bridge Club. Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. A.C. McDonald, first, Mrs. Frank Ringle, second, and Mrs. Logan Williams, third.
