    Kevin Davis, Warsaw, was the dance category winner and the overall talent search winner in Ball State University's 15th Annual Homecoming Student Scholarship Talent Search at Emens Auditorium.

Students competed for scholarships in five categories: dance, female vocal, male vocal, instrumental and musical group. Davis, the son of Art and Laura Davis, North Robb Road, is a sophomore majoring in musical theater with a minor in dance.

October 21 1984

    Jim Northenor, an employee of R.R. Donnelley and Sons and the hubby of Kosciusko County Republican Chairman Jean Northenor, returned home during the weekend following a hunting trip to Laramie, Wyo. As we hear it, Jim, three friends, Fred and Herb Scheatzel and Rob Askins, of Bourbon, bagged two antelope on their trip to the western prairie state.

October 21 1959

    Edmund Leech, a resident of Winona Lake and a member of the Winona Lake Brethren church, will be ordained to the Christian ministry at the church.

The family will leave for Hawaii to begin their newest ministry. Both Mr. and Mrs. Leech have served as missionaries to China. They have one son, Jonathan, who is a freshman at Warsaw high school.

October 21 1934

    The annual Warsaw-Wabash high school gridiron melee, although recorded in an official fashion as a 6 to 6 consequence, may be rightfully acclaimed a moral victory for the Tiger eleven. The visiting antagonists ventured into the local encampment with a highly commendable reputation, having administered severe slaughters to numerous strong Indiana prep grid teams, among whom were Kokomo, Logansport and Huntington. Wabash to date had yet to meet its equal.
