    The Judson College soccer team has opened the season with a 7-1 record in part to two Warsaw graduates.

Senior Jon Bolles and Jeff Montgomery have been scoring for the Eagles. Montgomery has six goals and leads the team with seven assists. Bolles has picked up assists in three different games this year.

    Whitko High School senior Beth King was crowned homecoming queen during halftime festivities at the Whitko-Columbia City game. She was escorted by her brother Mark King, a 1981 Whitko graduate. The Wildcats were victorious 12-6.

    Phyllis Binkley was installed as president of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary at rites conducted by past district and department officers at the Legion home.

Bonnie Pershing is vice president; Lillian Slouth is second vice president; Louise Kuchel, secretary; Mary Houser, treasurer; Opal Jackson, chaplain; Ula Davis historian; and Ruth Davis, sergeant at arms.

    Ernest Ross, official of the local telephone company and resident of Winona Lake, defeated Mrs. Trevillion five up, in handicap tournament play, to win his second tournament cup of the fall series of three cup tournaments at the Warsaw Country Club.
