Plans to further early action on the proposed change in the route of U.S. 30 between Columbia City and Warsaw were made at a road meeting.

The project calls for cutting a new route between the two cities along the Pennsylvania railroad right-of-way, and shortening the distance by approximately three miles. The proposed new route would pass through Larwill and Pierceton and would avoid the numerous hills, sharp curves and sink holes on the present route.
