A helicopter was used to lift 24 individual heating and air conditioning units to the rooftop of the Lowe’s building. Each weighs approximately 1,500 pounds. According to Mark W. Sixty-five members of the Galathea class of the Methodist church and their families met in the basement of the church to enjoy a pot luck dinner. Each arrival at the door was greeted by a ghost. The social rooms were decorated in keeping with Halloween. After dinner the devotions were presented by the pastor, the Rev. F.K. Dougherty. Everett Perry played several piano selections. An old phonograph furnished much merriment. Events were climaxed with a ghost walk through the church and concluded with the game, “Murder,” and ghost stories.
