Warsaw business and government officials joined the leaders from Sofamor-Danek Medtronic recently to break ground on their new 150,000-square-foot facility at CR 150W and US 30. Participating in the ceremony were: Rick Baker, Medtronic; Joy McCarthy-Sessing, Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce; Dick Dilling, Dilling Construction; Mac Silveus, Warsaw City Council; Don Tosby, vice president of operations, Warsaw Sofamor-Danek; Dick Mozza, Sofamor-Danek in Memphis; Bill Reynolds, vice president and general manager of Danek's Warsaw operation; Tammy Rockey, Warsaw City Council member; and Ernie Wiggins, Warsaw mayor.
A photograph of Jeff Grose will grace the cover of this year's Hoosier Basketball Magazine, due out later this month. Grose, a Warsaw Community High School senior, will be joining a select company: the last three Indiana schoolboy players to be featured on the magazine's cover wound up with the state's coveted Mr. Basketball honor their senior year.
One hundred and eight Warsaw junior high school boys (seventh- and eighth-graders) have been assigned to intramural football teams this fall, the first such football program in the local schools.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wilcox and daughters, Peggy Lou and Georgianna, of North Manchester, recently visited in Warsaw with friends.
